Kaolin is a fine mineral clay and rocks and crystals that have a kaolin content are known as kaolinite. The inclusions are very fine and almost delicate in nature compared to other inclusions such as lodolite. The colors are beautiful ranging from white, grey, and yellow, to red or sometimes blue. Kaolinite in quartz is a fairly unusual combination. The presence of kaolinite is very important in the creation of red phantom quartz. This is very apparent on the back side of the crystal where patterns of red and orange can be found with the white kaolinite. Within this area specks of metallic hematite catch the light.

Either the crystal went through a phase of rapid growth, or there were few deposits for a long period of time, however my instinct sides with the rapid growth.
