Lodolite (lodelite) is found at one site only in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Lodolite is a Greek word meaning mud stone or stone from the mud. Lodolite is in fact a quartz crystal with mineral inclusions and has the appearance of an underwater coral scene. The mineral inclusions vary from stone to stone and the colors of the inclusions can range from green, pink, yellow, brown, white, red and multi-colors.

The lodolite inclusions form interesting masses within this crystal. Some areas these inclusions have reached the surface and are not completely enclosed with quartz. You can only see into the interior of the crystal from one side of the crystal, making you feel as if you are about to enter cavernous depths. A bright rainbow marks the entrance and reassures you that good things will be found beyond. The tabby formation of the main crystal emphasizes the joyous energy of working with this special spirit. A few cavities can be found from the crystal's surface too. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore in this fascinating crystal.
