Kyanite is a beautiful mineral found most commonly found in vivid hues of blue with a silvery shimmer to the surface. It is commonly mined in Brazil, Netherlands and India, each with its own unique properties. Kyanite has an unusual hardness characteristic; lengthwise the hardness ranges from 4-5 but across the blade the hardness increases to 6-7 making it difficult to cut and polish. Kyanite is beautiful on its own, forming in beautiful blades that are perfect for energy work of all kinds. Kyanite has a beautiful energy for opening and activating the chakras. It does not accumulate negative energy but assists to dissipate it. This makes kyanite a perfect tool during healing sessions. Kyanite helps us open up assisting with spiritual and personal growth.
